Federweisser (tasting of new wine with onion tart) - EVENT CANCELLED

27 Mar 2011

Unfortunately due to problems with this year's harvest Federweisser will not be available this year so we need to cancel this event.

Join us for a traditional European wine tasting event - tasting of the Federweisser served with Zwiebelkuchen (onion tart).  Federweisser is young wine in the early stages of fermentation - cloudy with a light fizz, it's delicious served with a slice of onion tart.  It's a traditional part of the wine harvest cycle in the German speaking wine growing regions of Europe.

You can take part in this event at Helms Winery in Murrumbateman!  The crop is almost ready and, due to the very short window in which it's available, we're waiting for the word from Ken Helm when the wine is ready to drink.  Bookings are essential.

When:  2pm, on a Sunday coming soon (likely to be 27 March or 10 April 2011)

Where:  Helms Winery, Butts Rd, via Murrumbateman (car pooling available - let Paul know if you need it)

Cost:  $12 per person for 2 glasses of Federweisser and a slice of Zwiebelkuchen

For bookings and further information please call Paul on 6281 0486 or email pgamp@orac.net.au.
