German author Sybille Lindt to read from her latest work at Das Zentrum

We are pleased to welcome German author Sybille Lindt, who will read from her latest work "Großmutter kam aus Thlokerhauland". The reading will be in German.

Advent Singen at Harmonie Club

WHO WE ARE

Das Zentrum, the Australian-German Institute Inc., is a non-profit community organisation incorporated under the Australian Capital Territory Associations Incorporation Act.

Das Zentrum was founded in 1997 following the Goethe Institute’s withdrawal from Canberra.

Since its opening, Das Zentrum has continued to add to the unique collection of German language material donated by the Goethe Institute and to make it available to our members and to the general public.

Join Our Language Courses

Our Language Courses for adults are open to members of Das Zentrum. You must be or become a member to be able to join a class.

Our classes are run by qualified and experienced language teachers and focus on language skills, communication and culture.

We keep class sizes small (between 10 and 16 students) which gives everyone plenty of opportunity to actively participate. Classes are held in our library in Das Zentrum, Griffin Centre, Genge Street, Canberra. Our language classes are a lot of fun - why not join us?

Volunteers needed!

Would you like to be actively involved in our community? We are looking for volunteers to join our community and help us with running our centre, organise our library and deliver events.

We are also looking for qualified German teachers to join our language team for language classes or to support our conversation group.
