Welcome to the Canberra German Book Club

About:
This is a group for people interested in reading German literature, mostly novels and short stories. Everybody is welcome: young, old, native speakers and non-native speakers - although you do need to have at least an intermediate level of German, as both the books we are reading and our conversations will be in German.​​

Cost:

Fees for 2026 are $20 per semester. For insurance reasons, you also have to be a current member of Das Zentrum to be able to participate. You only need to register and sign up once per semester to secure your spot. Fees are non-refundable unless book club gets cancelled by Das Zentrum.

The number of participants in the Buchklub is limited to 12 people. Once the maximum number of participants is reached, you can add yourself to the waiting list. We will be in touch when a place becomes available.

​​​Please note that this is not a structured language class. It is suitable for people who have a German proficiency level of B2 or higher.  Language class information is here.
