A 1.1 (2) Beginner German (David Göbel)

This beginner course A 1.1 (2) runs over ten weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings and is a continuation of the A1.1 (1) course from Term 2. It is open to both current and new students. We are using Akademie Deutsch A1+as our main textbook and will continue from the end of chapter 2 in the book.

Are you interested in learning German?

This beginner course is a continuation of the A1.1 (1) course with David from Term 2. It is open to both new and existing students who wish to acquire basic language skills for the purposes of communication, study, travel or enjoyment. You will learn how to use everyday expressions and simple sentences to be able to satisfy concrete needs; ask others simple questions and respond to their questions.

The course will start at the end of Chapter 2 in the textbook.

Teacher: David Göbel

Number of sessions: 10 sessions of 90 minutes each.

Times and Dates: Wednesdays, 02.10.2024 - 11.12.2024; 7:00PM - 8:30PM. NO CLASS ON 09.10.2024.

Course fees:

TOTAL of $310 for non-members ($260 course fee incl $10 booking fee + $50 membership fee).

TOTAL of $260 for members ($260 course fee incl $10 booking fee).

Membership requirement: Our classes are open to members of Das Zentrum. For insurance reasons, all students have to be current members of Das Zentrum to be eligible for classes. If your membership has lapsed, please choose non-member option. If you are not sure if your membership is still valid, please contact us to confirm.

We need a minimum of 8 people to be able to run a class. Max number of students per class is 16.

Textbook: We use Akademie Deutsch A1+ as a textbook. The textbook is not included in the class fee. The digital book is available as instant  download from Hueber Publishing. Alternatively, you can also purchase a paper copy from the publisher in Germany. Your teacher will provide you with information on where and how to obtain the book.
