A 1.1 (3) Beginner German (Ana Hoogewerff)

Are you interested in learning German? 

This Beginner German Course A 1.1/2  runs over nine weekly sessions on Monday evenings. It is a continuation of the A1.1/1 course from Term 2. It is open to both current and new students. We are using Hueber Akademie Deutsch as our main textbook and will continue from chapter 4 in the textbook. 

The course aim is to achieve basic language skills for the purposes of communication, study, travel or enjoyment. You will learn how to use everyday expressions and simple sentences to be able to satisfy concrete needs; ask others simple questions and respond to their questions.

Number of sessions: We will meet for 9 sessions of 90 minutes each. 

Times and Dates: Mondays, 14.10.2024 - 09.12.2024; 5:30PM - 7:00PM

Course fees: 

Non-Members: TOTAL of $285  ($235 course fee incl $10 booking fee + $50 membership fee).

Current Members: TOTAL of $235 ($235 course fee incl $10 booking fee).

Membership requirement: Our classes are open to members of Das Zentrum. For insurance reasons, all students have to be current members of Das Zentrum to be eligible for classes. If your membership has lapsed, please choose non-member option. If you are not sure if your membership is still valid, please contact us to confirm. 

We need a minimum of 8 people to be able to run a class. Max number of students per class is 16. 

Textbook: The textbook is not included in the class fee. The book is available as instant digital download. Alternatively, you can also purchase a paper copy from the publisher in Germany. Your teacher will provide you with information on how to obtain the book.
