About the event

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany will open the Ambassador's Residence to the public for a rare behind-the-scenes experience. Visitors can explore two special exhibitions: one showcasing Germany's peaceful revolution and path to unity (offering insights into pivotal German history), and another featuring the new construction of the Embassy's Chancellery and Residence buildings.

The event will include information stalls hosted by various German community partners from the ACT, providing visitors with opportunities to connect with local German organisations and learn about German culture and activities available in Canberra. This intimate setting offers a unique chance to experience diplomatic life while gaining deeper understanding of both historical and contemporary Germany.
