Join the German Book Club in Canberra at Das Zentrum! Welcome to the Canberra German Book Club About: This is a group for people interested in reading German literature, mostly novels and short stories. Everybody is welcome: young, old, native speakers and non-native speakers - although you do need to have at least an intermediate level of German, as both the books we are reading and our conversations will be in German. Membership requirements: For insurance reasons, you have to be a current member of Das Zentrum to be able to participate. The number of participants in the Buchklub is limited to 12 people. Once the maximum number of participants is reached, you can add yourself to the waiting list. We will be in touch when a place becomes available. Please note that this is not a structured language class. It is suitable for people who have a German proficiency level of B2 or higher. Language class information is here . Would you like to watch German movies in a relaxed community setting? Do you want to find out about German movies shown in cinemas in and around Canberra? You have come to the right place! We host movie screenings at Das Zentrum and we also work with other organisations that bring German cinema to audiences in Canberra. Please register if you wish to come along to one of our movie nights. Most of the movie events at Das Zentrum are free of charge, but places are limited.
