Join us for our monthly Kaffeeklatsch on 25 April 2026, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm at

Das Zentrum, Australian-German Institute, Griffin Centre, Level 1, Room 1.03/20 Genge St, Canberra.

What is a Kaffeeklatsch? Kaffeeklatsch is an opportunity to meet, chat and make new friends. Please bring a small plate of nibbles, fruit or biscuits to share! We will provide hot drinks (coffee and tea).

Our library will open at the same time for our end of year borrowing bonanza - the perfect opportunity to browse and borrow from our collection of books, magazines and DVDs. Borrowing is free for members of Das Zentrum.

Please register for this event to help us plan. Registration is free, but a small donation to help cover the costs of coffee & tea would be appreciated!

$10 German Film Festival tickets including popcorn

Join members of Das Zentrum for a fun movie night at the German Film Festival for only $10 a ticket including free popcorn.

The movies we are going to see are "The Holy Grill" on the 23rd of May and "Hallo Betty" on the 24th of May.

We need a minimum number of people to join us, so please help us plan and get your ticket as soon as possible.

Our Library is Open Wednesday and Thursday Afternoon

Come along and borrow books, movies and magazines from our German language library at Das Zentrum, Griffin Centre in Genge Street, Canberra.

Current opening hours: Wednesday and Thursday 3:30-5:30pm.
