To find out what is going on in Canberra and at Das Zentrum, check out our Event Listings and Event Calendar on the What's On page.
Das Zentrum is hosting a number of regular events, including Kinderlesestunde (last Saturday of the month), followed by Kaffeeklatsch (last Saturday of the month), and the German Buchklub (first Monday of the month).
Das Zentrum also hosts the Runder Tisch der Deutschen Sprache in Canberra, and more regular events at Das Zentrum are currently in preparation.
Das Zentrum is run by volunteers, but it is our members who allow us to make this all happen. If you wish to support us, please consider becoming a member of Das Zentrum!
The Das Zentrum library is open several afternoons each week, when you can borrow books and DVDs, check out our magazines and chat with the librarian. You may want to call before you visit to make sure one of our volunteers is available.
Our German language classes for adults are open to members of Das Zentrum.
Our classes are run by qualified and experienced language teachers and focus on language skills, communication and culture.
We keep class sizes small (between 10 and 18 students) which gives everyone plenty of opportunity to actively participate. Classes are held in our library in Das Zentrum, Griffin Centre, Genge Street, Canberra. Our German language classes are a lot of fun - why not join us?
We aim to provide information on German related events all across Canberra and the region, such as Deutscher Stammtisch, Konzerts, and exhibitions.
If you are hosting a German/Swiss/Austrian related event or know of something that should be included in our calendar, please get in touch via our contact page.
We are also always looking for volunteers to help us organise and host events! So if you have a great idea for an event or want to support us, please get in touch via our volunteer enquiry webpage.
Hope to see you soon!
